  • How do I remember critical lab value thresholds?

    Associate each critical value with its consequence: K+ > 6 means cardiac risk, notify MD, hold digoxin. Na+ < 120 means seizure risk and seizure precautions. Link the number to a nursing response, not just a range.

  • Do NCLEX items give you lab values to interpret?
