A monitored client has a rhythm in which each successive PR interval is slightly longer than the one before, until a P wave appears with no QRS after it. The cycle then repeats. Is this pattern usually dangerous? 2. A client with this rhythm has a heart rate of 54, a blood pressure of 122/74 mmHg, and no symptoms. Their morning metoprolol is due. Would you give it? 3. Which single feature would most change your level of concern about a dropped beat: the width of the QRS, the client's blood pressure, or the number of dropped beats per minute? Hold your answers. Each is revisited at the end of the lesson, after the mechanism gives you a reason rather than a rule.
