By the end of this lesson, you should be able to trace the follicular phase from the late-cycle FSH rise to ovulation, explain how theca and granulosa cells cooperate to produce estradiol, and connect estradiol with endometrial and cervical changes. You should also be able to interpret menstrual-pattern thresholds, distinguish common causes of impaired follicular development, recognise medication and ovarian-hyperstimulation risks, and identify when an apparently routine fertility-monitoring finding requires escalation.
