By the end of this lesson, you should be able to: 1. Locate the uterus's major regions, wall layers, support structures, blood supply, and common anatomical variants. 2. Explain how uterine growth, vascular remodelling, placentation, contractility, and involution support pregnancy, labour, and postpartum haemostasis. 3. Interpret fundal height, fundal position, uterine tone, uterine activity, lochia, vital signs, and fetal heart rate as connected clinical findings. 4. Distinguish uterine atony from retained tissue, genital tract trauma, coagulopathy, inversion, and rupture. 5. Apply Canadian safety principles to oxytocin, other uterotonics, tranexamic acid, induction, trial of labour after caesarean, and postpartum haemorrhage escalation.
